TRACI CASALE, PRESIDENT
Two thousand thirteen marks the ninth consecutive year that Traci Casale will serve the Cave Creek Fiesta Days Rodeo Committee. This is her fourth term as a member of the Board of Directors and her first official term as President. Her sales and marketing skills translate into a significantly improved the bottom line for rodeo each year. Her professional business background and tenacious personality are a winning combination from which the rodeo association benefits on many levels. While representing Cave Creek Pro Rodeo, Casale has strengthened ties with the PRCA, the Turquoise Circuit and many local PRCA rodeos. She was instrumental in bringing the top-notch, award winning PRCA Contract Personnel to Cave Creek including Cervi Championship Rodeo, Sunni Deb Backstrom and Justin Rumford, to name a few.
Like most Board Members, Traci wears many hats while serving the Association, but her main areas of responsibility of sales, marketing and PR; website, Facebook and social media; securing sponsorships and production management. Ms Casale’s undeniable commitment to the Cave Creek Pro Rodeo Association comes from a life-long love for the sport of rodeo. Her main goal is to enrich our community by making the Cave Creek Fiesta Days Rodeo bigger and better each year.
Traci Casale and her husband, Nick Hannah, also a CCPR Committee Member, reside in Desert Hills, AZ with their two dogs, Rocky and Bella, and their horse Navajo.
BETH CORNELL – TREASURER
Beth Cornell is an accomplished Cave Creek Realtor® with a multi-faceted background whose accomplishments include a business background in agriculture and real estate. Her professional certification as a Paralegal and many years working in the field of accounting provide the skill set required to effectively serve as Treasurer for the Cave Creek Pro Rodeo Association. Ms Cornell was recently re-elected to the Board of Directors as her fourth term and has served on the Association for the past nine years. In addition to her Treasurer position, Beth also transformed the Stockman’s Club and has run the VIP area for the last six years.
Her love of animals and the sport of rodeo is what brought her to the Cave Creek Pro Rodeo Committee and is the driving force behind her efforts to ensure the continued success of the organization and its mission.
BILL BUCKLES – ARENA DIRECTOR
Bill Buckles, a third generation cowboy brings a vast amount of rodeo experience to the Cave Creek Fiesta Days Rodeo. Bill is an accomplished team roper, skilled farrier and all around expert in the sport of rodeo. Mr. Buckles has both grandfathers inducted into the Cheyenne Frontier Days Hall of Fame as the Buckles family competed and served as Stock Contractor for roping cattle at Cheyenne Frontier Days for many years.
Bill Buckles has volunteered for years with Fiesta Days and became an active member of the rodeo association five years ago. Bill is currently serving his second term on the Board of Directors and has assumed the important role as Arena Director. Bill enjoys working closely with the Town employees to make integral improvements to the Cave Creek Memorial Arena.
Mr. Buckles is the proud father of twins. His son Brandon and granddaughter live in New River, while his daughter Brett resides in Colorado. Bill is a Cave Creek resident who enjoys team roping, training and selling performance horses and carpentry.
DANIEL PIACQUADIO – GOLF, DANCES
It was twenty-six years ago when the Piacquadio family held their grand opening as the new owners of Harold’s Cave Creek Corral. It was also Fiesta Days Rodeo weekend and Danny Jr’s love for our local rodeo started that day and continued to grow each year. Five years ago, Danny Piacquadio decided to become more involved with CCPR and joined the rodeo committee to make a difference. He immediately got to work utilizing his business background and networking skills to help attract new Sponsors and Advertisers to Fiesta Days. Mr. Piacquadio is currently serving his second term on the Board of Directors and focuses his energy on the golf tournament and rodeo dances to increase funds for the rodeo association.
Daniel joined the ownership at Harold’s in 1995 and strengthened the establishment’s commitment to support Fiesta Days since Harold’s held its first rodeo dance in 1988. He lives in Tramonto with his wife Meri and their two children, Daniel and Sofia. Danny is an avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan and enjoys watching football and playing golf.
GARY STARK – SECURITY
Gary Stark, a 21-year military veteran, originally joined the Cave Creek Pro Rodeo in late 2005. However, shortly after that he was called out of the country for military duty. After his return and subsequent retirement in 2008, Gary once again became an active member and was elected to the board of directors in early 2011. This is his first term serving as a Committeeman and as a Director. Gary is the Director of Rodeo Security.
Mr. Stark is currently the Center Dean for the Mesa Campus of DeVry University. He is married and has four children. His wife Julie is also a member of the rodeo committee. Gary and Julie live in Waddell, AZ. His hobbies include rodeo, hunting and most competitive sports.
ROBBIE HALL – PARADE CHAIRPERSON
This past October, Robbie Hall was voted in to serve on the Board of Directors for the Cave Creek Pro Rodeo Committee. Robbie has acted as the head parade marshal for the CCFDR parade for the past five years. For the 2013 CCFDR parade, Robbie has taken over as parade chairperson and will oversee and coordinate all parade activities.
Robbie is a professional trainer with Wells Fargo and has been with the organization for the past eleven years. Robbie is married to Cody Hall, who is also a member of the Cave Creek Pro Rodeo Committee. The Hall family, which includes their daughters Dakota, Sierra and Tristyn, reside in New River. They enjoy spending time outdoors riding horses and four wheeling.
JIM OLSEN – LIVESTOCK MANAGER
Mr Olsen has been volunteering with Fiesta Days for more than ten years. He became an active Committee Member over four years ago and is now serving his first term as a member on the Board of Directors. Jim has always assisted the CCPR Committee in any area he was needed, but focused primarily on the roughstock end working with the bucking horses and bulls. He now holds the title of Livestock Manager and is responsible for forming the team that works with the Stock Contactor’s animals insuring safety and efficiency at each rodeo performance.
Jim Olsen, a twenty-six year ASE certified mechanic, owns his own business, All Auto Service, in Anthem, AZ. This Desert Hills resident enjoys riding horses, team penning and sorting, ranch work and boating.
TINA HAYDEN – MUTTON BUSTIN’
Tina Hayden has been volunteering with Cave Creek Pro Rodeo for the past four years. 2013 marks the start of her second term serving on the Board of Directors for the rodeo association. Tina is in charge of the Mutton Bustin’ event, volunteer coordination and organizing the layout of the banners for sponsors and advertisers. In addition, Tina has been acting as recording secretary at the monthly rodeo meetings. Ms Hayden currently works as an administrative assistant at Hayden Electric, Inc. and earned her bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice from ASU. The Desert Hills resident is the proud mother of Mason, her eight-year-old son. Tina’s hobbies include riding horses, reading books and spending time with her family.
PATTY BYERLY – CHRIS’ COWBOY KITCHEN
Patty Byerly has been a member of the rodeo association since 1984 and has served on the Board of Directors four different terms. Her area of responsibility is running Chris’ Cowboy Kitchen that was built in 1997 in honor of her mother, Chris Hornbrook. The cowboy kitchen is a hospitality area that exists to feed the contestants as a thank you for their talent and effort during rodeo.
Patty is married to David Byerly and they have two daughters, Tiffany and Chrissy. The couple resides in Cave Creek, AZ. Patty’s hobbies include volunteering for Fiesta Days Rodeo, leather craft and making western décor. She is employed at Target as a Stock Associate.
